Hello Directors of Schools and/or CTE Directors,

It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the Second Bi-Annual PIE Innovation Workshop.  This workshop is designed for school districts which desire to explore the development of a facility similar to the one we have created here in Bradley County.

Since opening the PIE Center in Fall of 2022, over 1,000 people have come to visit and tour; however, most wanted more time to hear specifics of PIEs development and implementation.  Because of these numerous requests, we are offering the opportunity to attend a workshop to not only see the facility firsthand, but bring your team to hear from our stakeholders, partners, local government, and community members.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions and hear in-depth answers.  Additionally, strategizing sessions will provide your team time to work together developing your own approach and an outline of your next steps.

The two-day Fall workshop is March 21 - 22, 2024.  The workshop begins on the morning of March 21st.

PIE WORKSHOP DETAILS:

$575 per person this includes:

  • Snacks, lunch, and dinner during the first full day
  • Snacks and lunch second day
    • Goody Bag and link with all related information and materials to take with you
    • Hotel Booking phone number: Holiday Inn Express in Cleveland, TN:  423-790-1199. A room block is reserved until February 19th, 2024.  Use the name “Bradley County Schools” to identify the room block.

Rates are:

King Bed - $124.00.  You must use a school district credit card or pay with a school check in order to get tax exempt.  After February 19th, the cost of the room will go up.

Planning Guide questions will be handed out during the session.

  • Have you done a needs assessment concerning workforce development?
  • What is your project called?
  • List goals of your project.
  • What are your Project Objectives?
  • Who are the partners/potential partners involved or who should be involved?
  • Categorize your partners/potential partners. (Business, Post- Secondary, Community, Local, State, Federal Government, Foundations, Retail, Individuals.
  • What criteria will partners have to meet in order to be a part of your project space?
  • What are your estimated funding needs?  Have you secured funding?  If not, what are potential funding sources?
  • Do you have persons within your school system that can take on the leadership of the teams of the project?
